Wilderness Voice, did you call Shonna? Because you write as if you know what peer groups are used by Liberty for comparison purposes. I don't think you do and I think you would be surprised if you did know. Same for you, logic. You would also be surprised at how many of our faculty are paid in the $100K range.

Everyone in our department was given a list of colleges that were on our peer list. I would be surprised if the Deans aren't given six figures, but I guarantee there isn't anyone in our department in the $100k range. Would be glad to be the first guinea pig, though.

I still think you need to talk to Shonna. My earlier post was referring to institutions being used for comparative purposes in determining staff compensation. The list that you were given sounds more like schools that would be used for faculty compensation studies because the schools that you mentioned by name are comparable to Liberty in many ways that would make them good measuring sticks for faculty pay -- net assets, gross revenues, cash reserves per student, number of resident students enrolled, e.g.

Growing pains at Liberty University have spurred significant changes in parking on campus, including two new parking lots on the far side of U.S. 460 for campus employees and students and an eight-fold increase in fees for premium parking spaces within the main campus.

“The big increase is on the employee side,” Liberty University Chancellor Jerry Falwell Jr. said.

The fee increase, he said, is an attempt to make sure everyone has parking while contributing to the ongoing costs related to the construction and maintenance of university parking lots. The objective is to accommodate all vehicles while continuing to make campus improvements, Falwell said.

Yeah, I think we have some work to do on our list. There are a few higher end, but way too many small Christian colleges and community colleges on the list.
