I'm sorry but I find it hypocritical to have some one such as Newt talk about the lack of morality and that America needs an awakening. This stuff is starting to get old. I feel the students are being used by people that are nothing more than career politicians.

Agree. Just like when Karl Rove came, I literally walked out. These men are not principled leaders. It's ironic that Newt would talk about morality anyway with the things he's done.

I like Ron Paul but he really need to quick attracting the kooks who like him so much. I'm not saying if you like Ron Paul that you're a kook. But take a gander at his biggest supporters... conspiracy nuts.

That's why I tried to specify that just because you may like him doesn't mean you're a kook. He has some good ideas. But look at the CPAC convention, the Paul supporters non-stop heckled basically every speaker. I've ran into many Paul supports who accuse me of not being a "patriot" when I tell them we shouldn't impeach Obama over policy differences.

Once again, I'm not saying everyone is this way. But it's been my experience with it.

some of Paul's supporters are crazy, but I think the conservative leaders for the most part are liars...I would take most of Paul's crazy supporters over liars any day of the week....with that said I think its a little silly not to fully support someone simply because you don't like some of the people who support them....I like a lot of people who supported/liked George Bush and I like a lot of people who support/like Obama, it doesn't mean I should change my mind and support those 2...

Looks to me like that forum was voluntary, so I don't see how that's using the students. These things are great for universities, and I think it's awesome that LU is now in the position to host them.

I've stated before, that my own personal experience with Dr. Paul over the past two decades has had me thinking he is kooky at times. Not his ideas, Ron himself. Then again, sometimes you need a little odd to set things right. He is a different cat by nearly everyone's estimations.

Some of you demonize Newt Gingrich like he's a horrible person. People can't change? I don't know him personally, neither do you. Maybe he hasn't changed, but it's possible that he has. I like Ron Paul okay and most of what he stands for, but I'm getting tired of people acting like he's magical. He'll never get elected. I've stopped worrying about politics at this point in my life because I've realized politics can't save anyone.

Politics can't save anything. It's the same thing. Bush and Obama are the same person as the president. We can promise change after change and nothing's truly ever going to happen until we get rid of this 2-party system that has proven ineffective for the past 20 years.

No, I do believe people can change. These are politicians we are talking about. People who find a way to go against what they stand for.

I don't care about Gingrich's moral issues (which btw, there's problems). I'm talking about his nonsense about "Green Conservativism" and the commercial with Nancy Pelosi.

This man is not a conservative/libertarian. He's what I call a "me too" Democrat. One of which there is not much difference between him and Democrats.

That's about as big of a stretch as you can make, and completely ignores the man's ENTIRE political and public career. Okay, it's not even a stretch, it's just flat out wrong.
