Former Swedesboro resident is beating the odds

In the 113-year history of this newspaper, few stories have been followed as vigorously and tenaciously as former Swedesboro resident Misty DeVault’s battle against countless health problems — more than 20 times in this column alone since 1991.

This update is one of the happiest. Misty, now 19, graduated with the Liberty, Va. Christian Academy Class of 2010 last month and enters Liberty University this fall.
