I am working on a discount card for Alumni. So far here are the confirmed vendors:

Charmeins - (located at the Mall) - 15% off Students and Alumni

Texas Roadhouse - 10% off Meal

Hillcats - Buy one GA ticket get one free

Doc's Diner - 10% off meal

LU Bookstore - 15% off

Pok-e-Joes Free Drink with Meal or Upgrade from 1 to 2 meats free

Arte Dei Capelli 10% off first visit products and services

Tan State 15% off any product


This should be announced and ready to go very soon. Does anyone else know of any business's or restaurants that would like to be included? I know we have several business owners on here and those connected with other places. Let me know if anyone is interested in being included. We have 4,000 alumni and this is a good chance to get their business. Also we allow the option to start a discount and if after 6 months or so they feel like its not working out for them then they can be taken off the list.

In all seriousness, how is the term "alumni" defined by the university? Is it anyone who ever attended LU, or only an LU graduate with a diploma?

That's the debate at most schools...most start out defining alumni as anyone who has attended then as they grow the term is narrowed. Right now at LU it is defined as anyone who has attended classes.
