I had half of the steamer and half of a turkey roast beef. If youre just going to get deli meats, go to Jersey Mikes. But that Steamer is really good. Most importantly Firehouse has Cherry Coke, an automatic winner for me.

Just had the smokehouse brisket. The brisket itself was good, but who puts mayo on brisket????? Wasn't prepared for that and had to scrape it off. $8.80 for the foot long. Loud, obnoxious, old guys yelling while they make sandwiches is a little annoying. Grade--- B-

Went there at about 1:45 today and got their NY Steamer. Since it was my first time, I didn't know to ask for it to be "fully involved" (i.e., "Loaded. Complete with Mayo, Mustard, Lettuce, Tomato, Onion and a Dill Spear on the side"). Thus, all I got was meat and bread, which was very disappointing.

The manager was yelling about how they outsold Roanoke's store today. They were so excited about that they forgot to ask me if I wanted it "fully involved" (or maybe they never ask).

Honestly, I've had a better tasting sub at K-Mart. Jersey Mike's still has the best sub in Lynchburg, so not much competition down the road.

The NY Steamer does not come fully involved. It is as it is. The meat, cheese, and condiments (mayo mustard and dressing).

Most of the subs do come fully involved, the NY Steamer does not.
