Hey Proto - Here's a question I was wondering about that perhaps you can shed some light on. Did you ever submit to Liberty any new versions of the LU letters. It seems there are several versions around. Does the school have an "official" version that's to be used for brand identity?

Also, will LU ever have some alternate athletic logos?

Truthfully - I have no idea. Those letters have never been established in one defined design. I believe different departments, whether it be Student Life, Baseball, etc... use what they think will look nice.

If there will be any alternative logos??? Good Question. All Marketing is handled internally now, we are the design arm of them now and do not make marketing decisions anymore.

I think now they are just trying to get the logo Trademarked and Protected. Next steps - I would think they would want to make some alternative logos, but I haven't heard anything lately.

I will keep the board imformed if I here of anything.

If they do decide to try some alternate logos in the future, getting one designed by Zephyr Hats,
aka ZHats, would be cool. They did some sedcondary logos for an X-Line of Hats for Notre Dame and Miami Hurricanes among others that turned out to be pretty good. Would be cool to see a secondary one by them (plus the national distribution channels they have in place.)

So I'm moving away from Adelphialand to Jet Broadbandville (annexed from Nesbetown) and I'm looking around at http://www.jetbroadband.com/ and looky who's name is at the bottom. How about that. Do you guys have any pull with the company? Tell them to get freaking HD programing and at the very least NFL network. They're so lucky they have highspeed internet or I'd go to DirecTV and cheer for the swift death of cable.

Depends what you consider pull:) We re-branded them when Nesbe was sold and created all their materials, i.e. mailers, billboards, website, TV spots, etc...

They have HD in the works. It should be real soon. The one advantage you have is that the new ownership is real aggressive and they are willing to put money into truly upgrading their product.

I personally have JET Highspeed, and told David, the owner, that I'm sticking with Direct TV until they get Digital Recording and can offer the NFL package - I can't live without watching my BUCS on Sundays and I don't watch commercials, unless my company produced them:)

well according to the website they should be getting DVRs soon. Well it doesnt say how soon but it lets you know that they're aware of their existance. I don't think a cable company will ever get the NFL package. I hate how the NFL, NCAA basketball, NBA, NHL, etc. packages are all with different companies. It's annoying if you like more than 1 sport.

Directv pays major jack to have exclusivity on NFL Sunday Ticket. No cable system in America offers it as a result.

I HATE cable... DirecTv is the best in my mind...Think God that Nesbe was killed and is 6 feet under!!!!! I live in the city now and I am having a ribbon cutting cermony for my new dish this weekend!!!!!
