New archery range on target at LU

The wolf, bear and leopard have gone into forced hibernation for the winter, but will find their home on Candlers Mountain again in the spring at Liberty University’s new archery range.

Twenty of the 3-D targets crafted to resemble their live counterparts will sit on about 12 acres of the mountain for the school’s Archery and Hunting Club, which got its start in the spring.

The archery range, plus nearly 300 adjacent acres where club members can hunt, and a neighboring paintball arena, are the newest additions to Liberty’s recreational “Ultimate LU” campaign.

Can anybody provide a map that shows where this archery range is on campus? There was a link on the splash earlier this semester that warned joggers not to run the trails near the range.

The archery range is on the other side of the road near the paintball field. It is between the paintball field and liberty ridge.
