Got a flyer on my door about 2 months ago from a Gopher Services. I had been staring at it off and on since then (I'm not one for jumping at something new). Tried it tonight, and ordered food from Macado's. had a Billy the Kid club and chili delivered to my apartment...it was so NICE! I think tomorrow night I'll order from Ruby Tuesday's. Has anyone else tried them? I noticed they do grocery shopping and all kinds of errands, and wondered how well they did with the shopping.

Yeah, me and my roomies used them during the school year. They didn't have Macado's on the list of restaurants then, but a driver told me that Buffalo Wild Wings and KFC will be included when we come back in the fall. I don't know about the grocery shopping, but they delivered balloons to my girlfriend, and my parents sent a care package through them. We will be using them again next year, fo' sho'!

I don't think it's an ad...no phone number...no website...no contact info. During the spring, I stayed on this site on weekends, but I like my new nickname better...given to me by the girls and parents on the T-Ball team I help coach.

With gas prices as they are, I am sure this "service" costs quite a bit. For travel expenses, AND the difficult labor of waiting in line at Arby's. 2 for 4 beef and cheddar becomes a 15 dollar meal.

If you can afford to have people go fetch your KFC for you, you could probably afford to up your game to some restaurant in town that will deliver.

Thanks to you, I'm enjoying 2 for 4 right now. FlameFans is not a good place to read when you're hungry.

We had this service when we lived in South FLA. They would deliver from any restraunt in town for a nominal fee. It wasn't a bad deal.

As long as you didn't pay 15 bucks to have it delivered, I respect your decision.

UGH...just saw another commercial on ESPN for them...one day one of them is going to become President of the United States and then we all will be in the pyramid sniffling him money

yeah this first post seemed like Spam...but did the first guy and third guy carry on a conversation? Arent they the same people???

Anyways, yeah this sounds like a great way to make a $6 meal turn into a $12 meal...although I'm sure there is a market for it...older people and those to busy with work and stuff....either way I'm pretty sure this is what a Girlfriend/wife is for.....geez, i've been hanging around TBGBG to long

It wasn't bad...4 bucks plus cost of receipt. Two or three of us would order together. however, they didn't go to any restaurant you wanted. They had a list of "participating restaurants" to choose from. I don't think any of them were fast food joints. Anyway, yeah kinda lazy, but there were times we just didn't feel like going out. Besides, check your receipts when you order, but Domino's started charging a $2 delivery fee around here. They didn't mention it, but it was there the last few times I ordered. Times are a changin'! :(

Papa John's has started charging a delivery fee, too. That must suck for drivers as they probably get less tips because of it.

Well, for Domino's, it's not so much the charge, it's the sneaking it in that bothered me. No one said anything about it. I just happened to notice it. At least with that Gopher Service, we knew that there was a delivery charge (it was well stated on their website)...but we knew we were paying for expanded variety of food options that we otherwise wouldn't have. There were nights when we just didn't want to go out, and we didn't want pizza or Chinese, so this service was a great option. Come to think of it, just about any business that involves transport has started adding a "fuel surcharge" these days...oil companies, lawn care, etc.
