Some of you may have heard that a member of my family is joining the LU faculty this fall. Well he and his family moved all of their worldly possessions up from Florida this week only to discover they wouldn't be allowed to move their stuff into their new home until a couple days later than originally planned. So consequently he is need of some strong-backed helpers to assist him in moving furniture into his new home.
Cider Jim has already rounded up a few faculty members to help out Saturday morning, but some of you younger guys who might have a little time on your hands and less mileage on your backs could really help us out.
Here is the deal ... CJ and anyone who is interested in helping should show up in front of DeMoss Saturday morning at 8:45 am. Cider Jim is going to lead a convoy up and over the mountain to the house that is not far from Camp Hydaway. Any amount of time that you can spare would be greatly appreciated by my uncle, his wife and three little girls. The more people that pitch in, the quicker everything can be unloaded off the trucks and into the house.
And if you are a current student, I am guessing brownie points with a new prof on campus couldn't hurt. But that's just me babbling from Texas.
Once again, meet up with Cider Jim and others at 8:45 am this Saturday and then convoy up to the house to help haul some boxes and furniture into a house.
Let's show our new professor why he made a great choice joining the LU family with a little FlameFans help.
