If only I was 8 years younger. And knew what I know now. It'd be this or accounting.

“We’re one of the few schools in the country that teaches engineering from the Biblical worldview,”

What on earth does that mean?

I thought the exact same thing. I figured it means we teach kids to design structures supported less by nuts and bolts and more by prayer.

Seriously I believe it is referring to the school's status as being a member of a Christian institution with religion requirements in the curriculum. Outside of LeTourneau I'm not sure how many other engineering schools fall into this category. Baylor & Samford both have engineering programs. But I am not sure how much of a Christian worldview is in their curriculum requirements for the degree.

Just one of the things that makes Christian schools look a bit second rate. Maybe better expressed as "...where you can study engineering in a Christian environment." LeTourneau didn't use his Biblical worldview to develop the independent electric drive on earthmovers, but he did create a Christian environment where one could study and excel in engineering. His school is very highly respected in the engineering field.

I'm with you, Rogers3. This is simply a matter of messaging challenges for the school.

Cedarville, Taylor U and Union University also have engineering programs.

Thanks for the clarification, 4everfsu. Most Christian college engineering programs are limited to computer science but some of these smaller programs do offer mechanical and electrical undergrad programs as well.
