Yep...hopefully they'll get the date right on yours...mine said June 10th when I graduated on May 19th. [* Edit - Sly *]

You better watch out saying that publicly. The wrong person reads it and you're out of your GA scholarship.

seriously atrain, as silly as this sounds, I'd edit that. There is a rat that shall remain nameless for the time being who is responsible for The Scorcho's departure, and HMO's hiatus a year or 2 ago. He reads and he reports. It's pathetic.

Anyone else think it's sad we can't post our true feelings about graduation because we're afraid someone will read it and screw with scholarships and jobs? That's a joke. Unfortunately, it's the truth though.

My grandpa, who is a preacher, said this about it: "After the whole thing was over I thought he was going to tell me he had a used car he could sell me and I wasn't a friend of Liberty if I didn't buy that either."

I found that funny.

a lot of people in high places read this, and if not on a regular basis they are at least aware of it. I wouldn't post anything that you don't want your boss or someone else important to read

We know they read it, but there's only one group of people that actually take measures to get people to stop posting, and that's the person we're talking about.

yeah, Falwell actually told that story once on ABC's "This Week" or Meet the Press or something, but the school had the lunch tokens locked in a safe, and Falwell & his buddies stole the tickets out of the safe for most of the year...

Some quotes from the book, one of them describing HMO's favorite story:
During Jerry's years at Brookville High School, he may have set a world record for the nunber of practical jokes played by one student. One one occasion, he locked the gym teacher in the storage area and pinned his pants to the bulletin board. Another time Jerry arrived at math class only to discover that his teacher was giving them a test that day. He announced that he wasn't in the mood for a test, locked the teacher in her closet, and dismissed class.

One of his most famous escapades involved a teacher named Mrs. Cox. Mrs. Cox kept a stash of cookies in the drawer of her desk...[Jerry] brought a live rat to class in a burlap bag. Before class, he put the rat in the drawer with the cookies...Mrs. Cox...inched the drawer open. Without warning, the rat spring from the drawer and landed in her lap. A look of horror crossed Mrs. Cox's face as she leapt from the chair, screamed, and fell into a dead faint. (pages 14-15).

is it a practical joke to physically put your teacher in a closet and locking the door? Pretty sure if the J man grew up in today's world he'd be in juvie.
