ALumnus...
Am I allowed to respond to you when my name is in your quote or is that considered "going at them". I need clarification on this one. I was under the impression that when a discussion is going on that both sides were allowed to participate and discuss one another's positions.
So to address what you said about me:
1. I didn't know I was "picking a fight" with you by disagreeing.
2. I didn't know we were friends or that I was on friendfinder.com... I thought I was on a message board disussing various topics.
3. "There's nothing wrong with what I said"--- Ohh... okay then. Since you claim it's right no one should question it.
4. "You try to construe it as some type of fallacy"--- Tally, see point 3.
5. RE: Fervor... you said: ""I don't have a life in politics,... I just try to inform people about the person they seem to be supporting." So someone who admitidly doesn't spend much time researching the issues who claims their role is to "inform" the rest of us should not be challenged on the stuff he puts out there?
So is everyone paying atention?
If someone is challenges thoughts online then those who challenge him are:
a. picking fights
b. losing friends
c. wrong
d. creating fallacies
e. like Paul supporters
{{f. All of the Above}}
Sweet.... Thanks for the clarification. Again, please let me know if I was supposed to remember point number 3 and simply not respond.
Dude. Calm down. It's a thread. Expect your ideas to be challenged once in a while. Push back or don't "inform" others. In any forum of ideas you don't get free passes in life. I'm not being mean to you. I don't know you. I'm challening ideas written on a screen by someone I know as an avatar and screen name. Nothing I say is personal. I on the other hand have always had my identity very public on here. I'm glad we seem to agree more often than not but I post a WHOLE heck of a lot less than most here it's just when I do I tend to type in chunks and I usually only speak up when I have something to say on a topic so it comes off more passionately. I debate on a regular basis with the friends you insinuate I'm in fear of losing
