The same group has tried this many times before. It won't stand up. Never does.

yeah, they're turds. And seriously, the Chuck Norris add should be the number one reason why anyone would vote for Mike Huckabee. It may not be "presidential", but it's so fun to watch.

ALUmnus wrote:Tally, I usually agree with most things you post, but when you disagree with someone even in the lightest, you just keep going at them. Learn how to pick your fights, you're going to find yourself with no friends sooner or later. There's nothing wrong with what I said, yet you try to construe it as some type of fallacy. Your fervor for Huckabee is starting to come off like a Paul supporter.
ALumnus...
Am I allowed to respond to you when my name is in your quote or is that considered "going at them". I need clarification on this one. I was under the impression that when a discussion is going on that both sides were allowed to participate and discuss one another's positions.

So to address what you said about me:
1. I didn't know I was "picking a fight" with you by disagreeing.
2. I didn't know we were friends or that I was on friendfinder.com... I thought I was on a message board disussing various topics.
3. "There's nothing wrong with what I said"--- Ohh... okay then. Since you claim it's right no one should question it.
4. "You try to construe it as some type of fallacy"--- Tally, see point 3.
5. RE: Fervor... you said: ""I don't have a life in politics,... I just try to inform people about the person they seem to be supporting." So someone who admitidly doesn't spend much time researching the issues who claims their role is to "inform" the rest of us should not be challenged on the stuff he puts out there?

So is everyone paying atention?
If someone is challenges thoughts online then those who challenge him are:

a. picking fights
b. losing friends
c. wrong
d. creating fallacies
e. like Paul supporters
{{f. All of the Above}}

Sweet.... Thanks for the clarification. Again, please let me know if I was supposed to remember point number 3 and simply not respond.

Dude. Calm down. It's a thread. Expect your ideas to be challenged once in a while. Push back or don't "inform" others. In any forum of ideas you don't get free passes in life. I'm not being mean to you. I don't know you. I'm challening ideas written on a screen by someone I know as an avatar and screen name. Nothing I say is personal. I on the other hand have always had my identity very public on here. I'm glad we seem to agree more often than not but I post a WHOLE heck of a lot less than most here it's just when I do I tend to type in chunks and I usually only speak up when I have something to say on a topic so it comes off more passionately. I debate on a regular basis with the friends you insinuate I'm in fear of losing :)

Tally, is this seriously how you think and come to your conclusions? Really? Because you've misinterpreted and misconstrued almost everything I've said, and have made many assumptions that have no basis or foundation, and are frankly wrong. I feel for your friends (read: wife's friends' husbands) who have to listen to this on a consistant basis. And no, nobody's paying attention, because nobody else cares. I really don't see this type of logic changing, so I don't have the patience to continue.

Knock yourself out Tally. Huckabee's your man. Give those Paul supporters a run for their money.

Yes. In fact I actually took your post apart in both this and my previous post to respond. Maybe what you write makes sense in your head but it looks rediculous on the computer screen.

Really?
Yes. And you're welcome to show me where I'm wrong. Somehow I doubt you will. You've yet to support a thing you've written.

Because you've misinterpreted and misconstrued almost everything I've said, and have made many assumptions that have no basis or foundation, and are frankly wrong.
LOL. I'm "frankly wrong". Well that settles it. Since you can't be challenged and you provide no support... I must be "frankly wrong". Again, the board is available to show anyone what errors have been made. Apparently if someone actually cites evidence or quotes the debates you get offended and feel attacked. If I've misconstrued anything feel free to share. Otherwise it looks like a lot of whining. You just prove my point from the last post. You don't allow yourself to be challenged but you walk around pointing out right and wrong for everyone else. Lame.

I feel for your friends (read: wife's friends' husbands) who have to listen to this on a consistant basis.

Honestly don't mention my wife. I don't care for what reason. Secondly I actually surround myself with intelligent people who apparently have thicker skin than you do. Debate is a form of learning. This forum has some good discussion from time to time. I'm not sure how much discussion you have about anything in life that matters but I've found it to be very beneficial and intellecutally stimulating. Also for a guy who cries so much about me being aggressive you sure have a lot to say about what friends I have or don't have. You'd think you'd avoid attacking if you're whining your way out of a conversation.

And no, nobody's paying attention, because nobody else cares.
I care and you care. You paid attention. You, me and anyone reading the thread can see how silly your arguments are. If I'm not mistaking go back and look at the posts I responded to. Especially about Huckabee's record on immigration. You ASKED for thoughts. "What about illegal immigration?" is a question. How you can get so upset about someone replying with facts and links is beyond me. Don't ask questions on a board if you don't want answers. And no, I'm not concerned with how many people read it. As long as you do. You care. You got your feelings hurt. You must care.

I really don't see this type of logic changing, so I don't have the patience to continue.
Well at least you admit that I actually have logic to what I'm saying. I can't say the same for your past few posts. Asking questions and getting offended at getting responses is childish. Take your ball and go home.

Knock yourself out Tally. Huckabee's your man. Give those Paul supporters a run for their money.

Ohh... here is where I should have said "Take your ball and go home."

ALUmnus, I told you before it wasn't personal but you went ahead and started lobbing more stuff. Stop crying. Respond with data or don't respond. I'm completely fine discussing thoughts and views. We as a citizenry don't do enough of that. I don't think it's beneficial however to have people like you posting to "inform" the rest of us about something you admitted you know next to nothing about.

It's actually purple.

Saying that makes me even more wrong, I think.
