is not there anymore. It may have been like that for a while, but I just noticed today. With that and Fazzoli's empty, that's a prime piece of undeveloped real estate on wards road. Question is, who's gonna buy it and donate it to LU?

The wife and I just noticed this past Sunday. I don't think it's been closed long.

If Lynchburg Car Wash wasn't there, it'd be undeveloped from the former Ale House all the way over to Ryan's. Although, I have seen construction crews inside of the old Ale House building recently.

A lot of people did. It was always packed on weekends. I was surprised when it was empty.

that's funny, my brother jokingly said something about Kia parking their cars there (they already do that at Fazolli's). How boring if that were to actually happen.

don't quote me but i think they had some law-suits there because of all the late night fights. I had a girlfriend who worked there in college and the manager only hired women to wait tables, no guys.....so when fights broke out they had to get cooks to step in. Eventually they got bouncers i think and that manager got fired but shortly after that it seemed to close up shop.

I worked at the Ale house as a server and broke up many a fight. One night, I saw some lady shoot a gun at some guys in the parking lot. No one was shot, but it made for an interesting night to say the least. Sad part is the cops didn’t seem to rush to get there as they were called there quite frequently. There used to be some dude that brought in a lot of cash and a big posse. He definitely spread the money around.

What is funny is that all the guy servers and bar backs were Liberty students and we broke up most of the fights. It got to the point where the bouncers were let go.

Fun memories at the Ale House. And besides it helped pay for my wedding and honeymoon!
