I know I get a lot of grief for starting topics on here (particularly when I start topics about myself), but I wanted to put an APB to all the FlameFans, whether you are in town for homecoming this weekend, are living in the area, or you listen to 90.9 from your many homes across the country, to support 90.9 FM Support the station that brings you Lady Flames basketball and softball, Flames baseball, hockey and soccer, and things like the Flames Minute. WHere you get to hear guys like GMTM and myself., numbah1indahoodG, postman, and I could go on and on...I called you guys out on the air with FSN so I hope you guys can support the station.

whats the lightathon?

Lightathon is the station's annual fundraiser for our scholarship fund. We also use the money to upgrade equipment and help with operating expenses. THe student management (like GMTM) gets their only compensation from the scholarship fund and that comes from donations during the Light-a-thon

and I just threw out a pretty steep challenge...if we could basically have the greatest hour ever and raise $5000, I would pull a SCAR and shave my head.

its not only for scholarship money, its also for other operational costs. Without it we would be hardpressed to broadcast a lot of the sports we do broadcast...

so forget about making fun of BJ for a second (which is of course fun)...and pick up the phone and help us out...thanks guys!

we reached our goal by the way...we started this morning at 47% of our goal and really thought it was going to be impossible...we had to go an extra hour, but we got 103% of our goal which is amazing...if anybody gave thanks so much...we all were so excited this morning when we got the goal.
