By 5:02 p.m. the man is in the care of hospital staff and Medic 6 is waiting in line to use a computer so they can file a report on the man. There is paperwork associated with almost everything they do. From firehouse to the paperwork took 15 minutes. Getting the paperwork done took 18 minutes.

its funny- we b **** and moan about it all the way TO the call, but when we make pt contact- you have to let it go and treat them. Of course- thats easier to say at 0810 the next morning.

its true that everyone gets in a bad way at some point- just tough to remember that at 0-dark-thirty AM.

then again, as a medic- if you lose the compassion- get outta the game, as we say.
