sounds like "I'll take anything I can to get me outta Indiana"
Any concerns of Jeff's ties to the NCAA issues at Indiana have been addressed by the NCAA and our compliance staff. He has been cleared and the matter is behind him."
"We are confident we are hiring a coach with integrity and someone who has a strong background with the NCAA rules and guidelines," said U-M Senior Women's Administrator and Compliance Director Judy Van Horn. "The NCAA reviewed and issued a statement clearing coach Meyer of any involvement in association with the Indiana University major infraction case.

Man, he still looks young. I can't see any change from 94 that a little Grecian Formula wouldn't fix. This may not be his dream job, but it gets him in the door with a Big 10 program. Then if one of Beilein's top assistants takes a head coaching job in the next couple of years, Jeff can step in.

Yes Coach still looks good for his age. I was wondering when they were going to announce this. We talked last Sunday night and he is excited to be in the Big Ten. I am excited because I spend time in Michigan visiting MRS SCAR's family so I may get to take in a few games. As far as job goes, the admin guy in the Big Ten makes a pretty good living. I don't know the details but I would bet most on this board would trade salaries with him. I think in a year or two he will be promoted though anyway. I am happy for Jeff.

Meyer to Michigan? Hmm....
Anyone have an over / under on the years it takes before Michigan basketball is embroiled in a major scandal?
(Yes, I went there)

Sheesh ... can we ever have a discussion involving Jeff or Randy that doesn't end up heading south?
Congrats to Jeff for landing on his feet in the wake of that mess in Bloomington for which the NCAA found no guilt on his part.

Which person on our staff is this job comparable to?
Is this like a Casie Coleman type position? You cant "coach" only line up trips and stuff? Or is he allowed to coach?

Wow!! I have attend several Michigan games each year (football and basketball), but now that I've moved, I guess that won't be happening anymore.
This is a GREAT opportunity for Meyer. If Beilein can turn this program around, Meyer will look really good for possible head coaching jobs.

I'm pretty sure it is...we dont have that position any more, it's been split up...but after reading the fact that the last person in that same position left to coach high school basketball and teach school I'm thinking it is....he has to have a deal under the table that he's stepping into a good position in a year or so...gotta be
