Funny u mention Pete.. He was in vegas the whole time I was there a week ago and he didn't have any chips in his hands when I was talking to him... But this is now the longest all-star game and I am really enjoying it!!

I think this game will change how All-Star games are played in the next few years...


After the first tie you saw Managers start saving 1 or 2 players just in case...now I think we'll see starters play a little longer then the standard 2 innings....I dont think we'll ever get to the old days where the starters play the whole game or a SP go 5 innings but maybe a few innings longer then what they have been

I've always thought that. I just don't know what you would do about pitching because it's not healthy to get up, pitch, quit, and come back. Since the game means home field, I don't think you should allow re-entry. If it was just an exhibition game, then I'd be all for it. It'd feel like a high school game, but with better players.

I wish they'd just go back to where it was and let the team with the best record have home field advantage and leave the All-Star Game as an exhibition.

I think them throwing, stopping, then throwing again is 1000 times more dangerous then these guys throwing 5 innings compared to their 1 or 2....but I agree with it for position players...although they also run the risk of getting hurt....anyone who takes a few rounds of BP, then sits for a hour then tries to do something can somewhat understand what they are feeling like right now, a very easy way to tear or pull a hammy or something

If the game truly was an exhibition, I think you should allow it.

With the home field based on it, you have to treat it like a real game.

If it was just an exhibition you'd see more things like Larry Walker turning around in the batter's box, or Jeter moving to 3rd so Ripken can play SS, etc.
