Baron Davis going to the Clippers is kind of like Kevin Garnett going to the Celtics -- only without the promise of a championship to add to a storied franchise. Scale it down a bit. At least the Clippers can dream of reaching the second round of the playoffs again, just like they did in 2006 when they crested to the team's high-water mark since moving to Los Angeles. It's all relative. Or, as far as this team is considered, it's all about relevance.

Adding Baron doesn't make them a championship team but it sure does patch a huge hole the Clips had in the backcourt.

The West is brutal. How does a team with Iverson, Carmelo, Camby and Kenyon Martin not make the playoffs?

Because their defense is beyond attrocious.

warriors, of all teams, have offered elton brand a max deal. if brand bolts out of clipper town, the clippers aren't going to be making it to the second round of the playoffs, that's if they even make it.

Ok so the Warriors just offered Brand 20 mil more than what the clips did to try to take him since they took davis haha

apparently brand is willing to take less money from the clippers to stay with them and help build a winning team from what I have heard on espn radio

He would catch a lot of flak for convincing B. Davis to sign and then heading to GS. I know it's hard to turn down that money but the Clippers could surprise some people with a Davis/Brand/Kaman core.

If they could somwhow figure out how to resign Maggette, that team becomes dangerous.

Apparently Maggette is pretty interested in going to the Celtics

Kaman is a beast and by far on of the most underrated players in the league. Now if Shaun Livingston could EVER play a whole season then lord knows how good he could turn out to be.

Maggette is being linked with the Magic, too. Not sure they have the money for him tho.

and as frustrated as I was with turk in the playoffs, maggette isn't worth giving turk up, especially with the injury problems maggette has had...its not worth the risk...but if for some reason he would take the MLE...then, as a magic fan, i would be incredibly happy...but thats just not going to happen
