Marshall Woods played baseball for Appomattox....he went to Kent State and his grades always were on the border line, he transfered to a JUCO school to get them up, he's now transferring to Winthrop & says he cant wait to play LU! I wonder why that is!!!
This kid is a stud that I've seen play ball a million times

Yeah, some say he is better at football than baseball....I'll give him a edge in baseball though, but I know for sure he could have played FB at LU and done well, heck & BB

I actually went to Elementary school with Marshall in Appomattox...I think LU at one time was recruiting him for football.

LU wasnt interested in any sport....both his FB coach and BB coach called LU's head coach's and neither of them were interested.....he could have stepped in right away and help out in FB, I'm pretty confident he could have done the same at LU in BB, even though as a true freshman he didnt have a outstanding year, I feel the BS would have been a little more kind

Add another name to the "Those that got away because the coaches haven't a clue about local talent." WU has another local player, Hildreth, who I think got a W in the Miami series.

Well...that's a problem. Obviously new Coach Rocco sees something in the area talent (although having 2 brothers in the area certainly helped). Sounds like something that AD Barber needs to know about. I know that this sort of thing is something that the coaches are responsible for but a little pressure from above wouldn't hurt

that excuse of kids wanting to get away just gets old, I mean talk to these kids that your guessing wanted to "get away." They just want to go where they are wanted, they dont want their HS coach to have to call up to LU and get them to give them a look, they want their freakin butt wiped and I cant blame them! There's reasons why some schools go all out and have a PA announcer and cheerleaders there on their visit to give them a small taste of things to come
