My kids baseball team just finished the spring season undefeated with a 22-0-1 record, winning the championship by the 10 run rule. Junior Scuzdriver went 5 for 5! I'm having a proud dad moment! :D

That is quite the run playing REAL rules baseball. You must have drafted some great pitching...plus having your own son obviously helped a ton.

We did have some good pitching. My kid was the catcher, did a wonderful job! It was really a well rounded team. Fun to watch. (even the game with the jerk ump!) Next up is the all-star tourney. It will be nice to have good pitching every time out. It'll give scuz jr a good gadge on how good his hitting really is.

On top of being a pretty good player, the thing I'm most proud of is that the coaches all told my boy what a good solid person he is. An example for the rest of the team. That was cool.

Congrats! I had lost interest in baseball, and I really didn't care if my son (age 2) was ever going to play. But after reading your thread, I remembered how much I loved to play the game. Football was/is my favorite sport, but some of my best memories were playing baseball. Now, I hope my son plays and enjoys it like I did.

Thanks for reminding us all again why it's a great game. Good luck in the all-star games.

I've been very fortunate to have really good coaches for my boy the whole way up until this point. It has helped his love for the game. We've played some teams that the coaches were complete idiots and it is probably a different story for alot of the kids on those teams. That's sad.

Anyway, win or lose, it sure is a blast to see your kid play. The thing I've learned through the years is that I can't play the game for him, I just have to enjoy it with him.
