They are startign practice this coming spring? I didn't realize the timeline was that quick.

It is not a surprising hire since the school is doing whatever it can to get attention in a very crowded marketplace there in Atlanta.

i really like bill curry. i hope he does a great job though it will be horrible playing in the georgia dome with a very small crowd.

The University of Houston used to play their home games in the Astrodome back in the day. It used to help them attract home dates since a lot of schools liked the idea of playing in an NFL stadium. I suspect it will be similar for GSU. Sure it will be sparse and cavernous. But it will help sell the new product to GSU alumni who would love to have an excuse to brag on their shiny new football team to their Tech, UGA and Geo Southern buddies.

at least the school is smart enough to give the coach a full two years to recruit before playing games. some school would make him have to field a team for this fall. it will be interesting to see how many players he can get for next spring,i think a lot of players wouldn't want to come to a school and only be able to practice for one year...
