Germany might have a shot. I wouldnt be surprised if it came down to Italy and France though.

No England :(. Make me and my heritage very sad.

I am pulling from the Netherlands, but don't expect them to win.

I would probably put money on everyone but Italy, if I had to pick someone.

(Better SJ?)

Edit that. For the love of God, spaghetti, and all things Italian, edit that. Please don't curse that country.

Italy and France are in the same group. It'd be tough for them to both make it to the finals.

Here's where all the countries are in the world rankings:

Italy - 3
Spain - 4
Germany - 5
Czech Republic - 6
France - 7
Greece - 8
Portugal - 9
Netherlands - 10
Romania - 12
Croatia - 13
Sweden - 23
Turkey - 25

For the record, England is ranked 11 in the world but they didn't qualify.

Frankly I really could care less until the final. But I'll play the contrarian role and go with Espana.

I'm going with Spain as well..but i have no idea if they'll actually win or not..but since i was born there, I'm obligated to always root for them.

France has looked kinda lame today. Especially as the game has worn on. Maybe they are just too old?

Plus, this ref has been pretty bad. Several very questionable calls.

I agree... France should be up 3-0 right now, they are just sluggish

Now, for the big match. Italy and the Netherlands. Great keepers, Great strikers, and my heritage against SJ's. Time to go put on my orange clothes...

France and Romania play to a 0-0 tie (What an exciting sport soccer is...you can run around for 90 minutes and NO ONE SCORES)...GO DEUTSCHLAND (thats Germany).

The Dutch fan agrees.

Great to see this quick start, seeing the orange jersey running down the field unmarked, I was hoping something good would happen.

Italy seems to just not capitalize. The Dutch just had the ball handed to them, and it dribbled out of bounds. The Dutch seem to want it more so far, but I am sure that Italy isn't just laying down.

Almost another goal... Keeper got lucky

And the game was almost over before it began... Nistelrooy puts it off the legs of the keeper when he had a WIDE OPEN net. Wow, the Dutch came to play.

3-0 Orange Crush. What a game, they take advantage of the counter attack so well. Italy was SO close to making it 2-1, but then on the counter attack, Holland puts it away. Wow.
