This chic is a real gymrat!
Christina Nymeyer, a 5’7 guard from Roanoke, Va., has signed to play for the Lady Warriors of Southern Wesleyan University.

Nymeyer had a decorated senior season at Faith Christian School while playing for head coach Pat Wolfe. Nymeyer helped her team to a 23-4 record and was named the team’s Most Valuable Player. Her accolades didn’t end there as she was chosen as the VACA (South) Conference Player of the Year, VACA South Region Tournament Most Valuable Player, and VACA State All-Tournament Team. Additionally, she was selected to the NACA All-Tournament Team.

I believe so. I was reading a blog she wrote about why she picked that school and she said she felt God calling her there. Honestly she would have been pretty hard pressed for playing time if she had come here no matter how good she is

NAIA and NCCAA. Their baseball team won the NCCAA baseball championship in 07. The reason I know these things is my son and one of his teammates are playing summer ball down there...and SWU is the field they play on. Central is in the middle of nowhere, about 5 miles from Clemson (which is ALSO in the middle of nowhere).

The NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association) is what Liberty used to be in back in the days of Karl Hess in the 1970s and early 1980s. During my Tenn. Temple days, Liberty won a NCCAA national championship in Chattanooga in 1980.

The NCCAA is a good organization. As far as wrestling they have even produced Olympic winners and participants.
