Taken from their board:
we are no longer a small school -- we must, without question, represent and portray ourselves as the athletic power that we are in several sports. We cannot run with the big boys of the athletic nation and continue to play on the grounds that we do.

I'm trying to figure out what sport other than baseball they are a "power" in. Women's track and field perhaps?

I think here the talk is more about reaching the potential our programs have based on facilities, student body size, resources and administration support relative to other BSC schools. Not so much talk about being a powerhouse, although WBB and Men's T&F and CC are there and football is well on the way. As strongly as I feel about Rocco and the direction our football program is going, I do think we need to show continued progress for a couple of more years before we can say we are a power.
