Well, this stinks, but I can't fault him for family reasons...
"CHAPEL HILL--Alex Stepheson, a rising junior power forward for the University of North Carolina men's basketball team, will transfer in order to be closer to his family in California due to several health concerns."

I hate to see him go. He's the only one who can't stop laughing on the bench when the Holes are getting smoked.

Well, looks like Carolina has already had someone accept the vacant scholarship. That was quick.
Justin Watts, 6-5, 200 lb. wing from Durham.

sounds like a good pick-up...
from durham, and i've never heard of the guy; local; quick find; being recruited by schools like fairfield and ECU.
desperation.

well he's a three star recruit so he isn't good enough to play at Duke, but I think he'll be good enough for UNC.

Well be careful... Duke is exactly what our team will be next year, a good group of shooters and guys who hustle that lives and dies by the three.
And who says they aren't athletes.

do a little research...
He was also on the top of the list for some new Head Coach at Stanford....although, I can't quite remember where that coach came from....
Plus, Czyz anyone? He was a 3 star prior to selling his soul to the devil in durham...& he signed early...

Duke has some athletes (particularly Henderson). So will we. Based on what I have seen and heard, I am hard pressed to think of a time when we have had 3 high flyers like Smitty, Floyd and Weaver, and don't be surprised if Austin Smith opens some eyes in that regard as well.

its pretty sad when the #1 pg and #1 shooting guard from 2006 play 2 years at what is (according to some people) the best basketball school in the country and can't even go first round in the draft. i wonder if Roy will figure out how to screw this up or if he will actually win the championship this year

See Redick, JJ (greatest player in ACC history

)....Randolph, Shavlik (#6 PF).....Williams, Shelden(#3 PF)....McRoberts, Josh (#1 PF)
Waiting to see - Paulus, Greg (#1 PG)
Master NBA ballers, the lot of them.
Dook fans...always setting the bar for hypocrisy.

I was merely referring to your statement about Lawson & Ellington "failing" to go to the NBA after playing 2 seasons at Carolina. Yes, Paulus was indeed a #1.
