Is there anyone in America at all even remotely surprised by OTL's investigation?
USC deserves to have the hammer brought down on them hard.

Can't really blame USC only when the allegations started when he was in 10th grade. The NCAA supposedly did an investigation on him before his college career and found nothing.

You can blame USC for things that occurred while he was a student ESPECIALLY in light of everything that was known before he arrived on campus.

First Reggie Bush now Mayo. Not looking good for USC. Makes you wonder what Leinart was getting...besides the ladies...

whether it WAS known or not sly he was found innocent. Thats silly to say a person was cleared of all charges but a university can be held more accountable? I mean going to the well one to many times with a star like that and keep investigating him can be considered harassment i would think. There was no proof until a guy in his inner circle came forth. I mean if someone is running money thru a non-profit and filtering it to him that way or via his friends (in WVA) the university probably can't investigate either on of those, thats left on the NCAA.

The USC-Bush investigation is still going on and not looking very good for Bush - which in turn will not look good for USC. Add in all of this Mayo stuff and the NCAA could charge USC with a lack of institutional control.
I'm curious to see if the NCAA will actually throw down some serious penalties on USC if they have violations. USC is a big money maker for the NCAA and the NCAA is not exactly an upstanding organization. If this had been Liberty or any other school not important to them, they would have already dropped a nuke on them.

Reminds me of the movie "Blue Chips" with Shaq and Penny a few years ago.

If you want to go even more Old School, er, Old Hag then the Bush matter has elements of "Johnny Be Good".
I loved that movie.

I think a ban is completely justified at this point if all the allegations prove true. As long as they don't do away with their cheerleaders, I'm all for it.

i saw this coming as soon as i read the story on espn.com over a year ago about his recruitment and commitment to USC. basically told the coach to not worry about recruiting anyone else because he'd take ccare of it and a bunch of other stuff. dude was covered in red flags and USC completely ignored it.

Nothing better than those sweaters. Although, UCLA comes in a close second...
