This assistant coach blew the whistle on the Baylor scandal and is now blackballed by college basketball and working 3rd shift at a factory.

I hope he gets back in to college basketball. That is the kind of coach I would want to play for, a coach will do the right thing, a coach with a conscience.

Sounds like a tough break for the guy. Of course, we're only hearing one side of it but it seems like he got shafted.

this guy's situation is even worse than Bruce Pearl's. He might end up having to take an assistant coaching position at a D3 or low NAIA school or even go to the lowly ranks of JUCO if he wants to coach in college. at least bruce pearl was able to get back on his feet in D2.

Bruce Pearl deserved it for being a whinny little d-----.
As for this guy, maybe he just isn't a good coach? I'm having trouble finding a decent job in Lynchburg. I don't thin Lynchburg is blackballing me.

Someone must have thought he could coach. He was an assistant for a Big 12 school only 6 years after graduating. That's a pretty fast career track.

Many coaches, including Hall of Famers Jim Boeheim and Mike Krzyzewski, have said that Rouse had crossed the line. "If one of my assistants would tape every one of my conversations with me not knowing it, there's no way he would be on my staff," Krzyzewski told "Outside the Lines" in 2003.
It was a murder investigation Mike.

Dave Bliss Spoke at the final 4 in an exclusive interview with TNT's Ernie Johnson. Most every coach that was at the final 4 showed up for this and it was very moving. What a tragic story. Dave Bliss is so remorseful now and understands he was out of control. It was an emotional story. He broke down and cried several times. Ernie Johnson is a Christian I believe and so is Dave Bliss. It was an incredible story of someone who thought he could get away with everything. What a humbling experience! I don't know if he will ever coach again.

While Baylor was reeling with the disappearance and death of Patrick Dennehy, Rouse secretly recorded a conversation with head coach, Dave Bliss. The conversation exposed Bliss' plan to paint Dennehy, the murder victim, as a drug dealer in order to cover up Bliss' NCAA-violating payment to Dennehy.

I stand corrected. I could have sworn that I read somewhere about Rouse recording several conversations well before the murder investigation.

I should really stop putting my ff.com username on my resume.
