And with the first pick the Miami Dolphins select... Jake Long, OT Michigan. Agreed to Terms with him today.

as a dolphin fan I am very happy with this...our OL was horrible last year...probably the best offensive linemen in the draft

I would hope he is. It would be a poor pick if he was the 2nd best.

I like this pick too. I am a big 'phins fan and our line was horrible and has been since the Marino years.

I think this is all an elaborate fabrication. They take Chris Long.

With no clear cut stud atop everyone's board there wasn't near as much of a trade value as most would think.

Congrats to the Miami front office for getting the deal worked in advance.

I figured the Dolphins would trade down...bypass Ryan...and pick another kick returner.

Great Pickup, but I got a feeling that all these teams that are going to pass on McFadden are going to regret it very soon after the season starts. You have to go with the best player and McFadden could be another Peterson. I also think Chris Long is way overrated. He's good, but will have to play a new position in the pros and I'll take Dorsey over him.

I think the biggest concern with McFadden is he is going to be another Vick and/or Pacman Jones in that while they have plenty of talent they also come with a lot of baggage and risk. I agree that he might turn out to be a great player but there are a lot of teams worried that he won't be able to resist trouble.

I have heard that McFadden can take off "Sexual Protection" Faster than he can run the 40.

he has 4 kids..................... if not more.

I heard in connection with this yesterday that he is telling teams that his sister ( a college senior ) is moving in with him an going to keep him out of trouble.

Bengals get screwed again. Or should I say Bengal fans do. Everybody and their mother knew the Saints were gonna trade up for Ellis. So what do the Bengals do with their 500 picks? Obviously nothing. Stay at 9 and see what falls to you. The only thing that could make this team less of a joke is if they wind up with somebody else's 1st along with future 1st round picks for Chad Johnson. Odds of them doing more nothing? 100%

I'm happy for Jerome and Coastal, but wow that was about a round or two too early.

freaking idiots. I like Jerome in the NFL as much as the next guy but talk about a reach.

This would be an absolutely amazing pick in the third or fourth round. It's great for Jerome, Coastal, and maybe even the Big South, but not the Bengals.

Their speedup plan worked too well! Day one over before 9 PM. They could have done at least one more round tonight.
