A Sea Of Red

I've kept quiet all season about the Hornets...but no more! LC improved its record to 28-9 (15-3 in the league) with a DH sweep over Bridgewater on Saturday. LC gains the top seed in next week's ODAC Tourney to be held at City Stadium. The Hornets will open up with a Thursday game at 11 AM versus the Maroons of Roanoke College.

In game one, Joe Devlin of Lynchburg improved to 7-0 on the season and lowered his ERA to 0.74 (yeah...you read it right) with a 7 inning shut-out. Time of the game: one hour and 12 minutes!

Congrats to LC and junior fumble...I am going to try to make it out for a game or two this weekend.

Although I "thought" LC was playing Roanoke, due to the conference tie-breaker (you get points based on who you beat in the standings, as opposed to breaking the tie by which team beat the highest seeded team), LC will be playing Hampden-Sydney in the 11 AM game.

Will there be beer vendors at the tourney so we can not tip them?

What's the schedule for the games, and the cost of the games this weekend? I would like to go check one out...

I have no idea on admission...last year it was $8 for a day pass, and they did not sell individual game tickets. Here is the link and schedule information:

Breaking news...Hornets now checking it at #20 in the Coaches' Poll!

The main rankings of concern will be the REGIONAL RANKINGS, which will be released on Thursday...in D3 those are used to help determine at-large bids.
