I could care less about golf.

It doesn't get any better than the back nine on Sunday.

Nothing better than the back 9 on Sunday... on an HDTV. It's the most beautiful landscaping in the world; even the wife is like "look at those azaleas!"

I do hope Tiger can come back from this deficit. I'd love to see him capture the Grand Slam.

They could have the toughest greens in the world! Shows you how good those pro really are to shoot the scores they do there.

I hope Tiger's in the hunt on Sunday or I probably won't watch much. It's really sad that he is the only great golfer on the tour. I wish we had rivalries like in the 60's and 70's. Nowdays when someone wins a major tournament (other than Tiger of course) they might never win another one.

Tiger is the best golfer in the modern era and will be remembered as the greatest golfer of all time when he finishes his career and surpasses Jack Nicklaus for the number of career majors. But........to say that he is the only great golfer on tour is an ignorant statement. Part of the reason that the rivalries in the 60's and 70's were so strong is the PGA tour did not have the depth that it has today. Today, on any normal tournament week, any of the tour players could win. In a tournament like the Masters, there are 30 or 40 players that have the ability to win the tournament at the start of the week.

Earlier this week, I traveled to Augusta to watch the Tuesday and Wednesday practice rounds. An acquaintance of mine that has been to the Master's for 37 years said the abilities of the golfers today far surpasses those of of the 70's and the differences in the abilities of most of today's players is virtually non-existent.

I think Tiger is 6 back? Should be an interesting day tomorrow. I don't think Tiger can catch them without some help.

That's his weakness. He struggles to catch up on the last day. I say that as a big Tiger fan, too. Here's to that changing today!

Yeah, he's definitely gonna need the guys up top to struggle, and he'll have to at least match what he did yesterday. (Unless they totally collapse) Tiger is the only one in the top 8 right now to win a major. So he has that experience on his side obviously.

It's becoming very interesting as the last group has six holes to play. It is now a 4 man race. Trevor Immelman leads (-9), Steve Flesch (-6) and Brandt Snedeker (-6) are close by and Tiger (-5) is not out of it. The winds are blowing, the nerves are tight. It's Sunday at Augusta. Phil is the low man in the clubhouse at -2.

Trevor Immelman wins by 3 strokes over Tiger Woods. He is the first South African to win since Gary Player won the Masters 30 years ago. Now he has a green jacket and a lifetime invitation to Augusta.

In a strange way this was further proof of how good Woods is. Against the best in the world, he played nowhere near his best and couldn't make a putt to save his life, and only one other player was able to hold it together to finish ahead of him. Congrats to Immelman.

I was thinking the same thing. All the announcers kept saying was how frustrating of a weekend he had, and yet he finished ahead of everyone in the field aside from Immelman. Immelman was impressive, and though he had a couple of hiccups today, he played with great composure given the circumstances.
