Looks like Nolan wants out, too. Duke's ship is sinking...fast.

Mater Dei coach Mike Calloway spoke to King earlier today. "He hasn't decided where he's going, but I know he's not staying. He likes Coach K, but feels he'd fit in better at another school," Calloway said. "He mentioned UCLA, Souther Cal and North Carolina
as possible schools he'd feel comfortable at."

Kris Humphries on your list is misleading. He changed his mind after comitting. That's not a transfer.

Taylor King = more evidence of how inflated high school rankings get. as soon as a player commits to Duke his ranking goes up a lot even though they have shown nothing to support that ranking.

He was being recruited by UCLA, UNC, and Dook when he was a freshman in high school....
He deserved his ranking......
anyway, he wont play at UCLA, look at Michael Roll....just like King. A big time shooter not defense, no play time
Even more bad news...

Looks like McClure will be graduating & perhaps not using his last year of eligibility next season.

def. one of my favorite players this past year. doesn't matter though... he was in the same dog house as marty p. is... he wasn't going to be seeing the floor any. good luck to TKO. as much as i hate to say it... good decision by him. he's going to make some team VERY happy. loved how he was always keeping the bench energized.

The fallout offers some hope. Duke has begun to go after Derrick Favors, 2009 #1 recruit, hard. People who claim to be "on the inside" say Duke has no shot, but I'd love to see Favors as the anchor of Duke's lineup.

His top 4 schools are Clemson, FSU, Georgia, & Georgia Tech. He wants to play for a black coach, from what I've heard.
dook better change their recruiting philosophy. If you look at what Carolina has coming in, dook has some catching up to do...

if they just started, then yeah I'd have to say they don't have much of a shot over teams that have been recruiting him for years. pretty hard to get such top ranked players on such "short" notice

then why does he have medium interest in auburn? Lebo is white.

which is why it says "Medium" & not "High". It's called a back-up plan.

Favors sounds like a racist dirtbag and I wish nothing but failure upon him. I think he watched too much Glory Road. Adolph Rupp was 42 years ago.

i don't see this guy playing for the devils. sounds like he wants to juke and jive his way right to the nba within a year or two. duke doesn't juke and jive, nor do they recruit athletes. instead they dabble in: mis-using talent; drafting white guys that will get hurt, be a flop, or be decent and stay for 4 years; running stall ball...
which is why they juked and jived their way right outta the acc and ncaa tourney this year.
blwall1416 wrote:dook better change their recruiting philosophy.
yes.
i'll never quit saying GO DEVILS though.

I think they will change the way they recruit after K retires, but not before.

Favors wants to stay close to home. I'd imagine he'll either sign with UGA or GTech.
John Reik is still available though. He's a legitimately 7'2 and isn't a stiff like Zoubek.

where are you hearing that..........
duke will be fine next year,
1 greg paulus.......... experience, leader, great three point shooter
2 joh scheyer............ can get to the hole, shooter, good defender
3 gerald henderson.......... best basket attacker in acc, and with another year under his belt he will be ACC POY canidate
4 Kyle Singler........... he will be even tougher next year
5. Lance Thomas .........started every game last year, with the experience and possibly some more weight, he will be a good defender next year
6 Nolan...... great composure and with demarcus gone i look for him to score more next year.
7 Brian "Z"....... needs improvement.
Okay so duke is loosing Demarcus who was a great defender and rebounder, but in return they are getting 7 of their top 8 guys back, with another year of experience.

taylor king = no defense and "what's pass ? "
i liked him for the two games of the year that he was on but the other 20 some....... he was a nonfactor because of his nondefender.
