Carolina gets hosed by possibly facing Indiana in the 2nd round.

Like the USC/Kansas St. matchup.

Why is Portland State at 16?

That's a ton of wins for a 16.

I cannot believe Kentucky got in...talk about living on your rep. That should be the nail in the Hokies' coffin.

Oregon is a 9 seed? Wow. They were a bubble team...I guess not.

Kentucky was 12-4 in the SEC with wins over Arkansas, Tennessee, Vandy, two wins over SEC champ GA and were 9-3 in the SEC. Mostly everyone, including Lunardi, had UK in as a "lock" before the SEC tournament started. They deserved to be in...however, I don't like how my Golden Eagles are playing them though, tough matchup for us.

Solid bracket at a first glance. Don't see any glaring omissions or any terrible seeding decisions.

You can't say UNC got hosed when they are the #1 overall seed.

Davidson and Gonzaga in Raleigh, should be fun.

I think Clemson got shafted with a 5 seed after being the third best team in the #1 RPI conference and going toe to toe with the #1 team in the country in the conference championship game.

Looking forward to USC/Kansas St, Gonzaga/Davidson, Notre Dame/ George Mason to name a few.

The overall number 1 seed should not have the possibility of facing Indiana in the second round, not to mention the Possibility of Louisville and Tenn. down the road. They got HOSED!

Oh, please. Indiana's nothing special and they won't be playing anywhere outside of the state of North Carolina until the Final Four. They'll have a home court advantage for the first four rounds and won't face a serious contender until the round of 8. The committee practially paved the road for them.

I disagree with the part about paving the road, but I'm not complaining. Carolina basically had two choices: an easy road somewhere else or a harder road at home. The committee gave them a tough road at home. It is what it is. Indiana, Tennessee, and Kansas are all teams that are either a) very good already or b) potentially very good. Oh well. If they're really the best team in the country, they'll win these games. If they win the championship having knocked off those teams, they'll have something to hang their hat on.

exactly jon...UNC has nothing to complain about...i think there is very few snubs this year, if any that i can see....for the first time in a while

im pickin davidson over gonzaga... yeah gonzaga's good, and i think could potentially go a couple rounds (although knocking over TN would be really tough- not saying it couldnt be done...) but i think Davidson can play with anybody in the country and will give the Zags everything they want and just might want it more

Nova babay!!!!!!!! Last at-large to get in, that's what I'm talkin about. They're a sleeper. Clemson has nay tourney experience, they are good and should win, but I think they choke and Nova makes more 3's than them. Then Nova beats Vandy, yeah that's right. Vandy wins big games against big teams, but not the little games against average teams. Then Kansas ends Nova's run in the Sweet Sixteen.

O yeah . . . . Winthrop beats WSU then Notre Dame avenges their loss from a year ago.

I agree with you... The Heels will be fine short bus rides make things alot easier...

I don't want to flare up another Heel vs Duke battle, but @ Duke with #2 seed.

If anybody got hosed this year, it's Tennessee. I understand that the committee was probably trying to keep them close to home but I think the Vols would rather be playing Memphis in Houston as opposed to UNC in Charlotte.

You guys who think UNC has a tough road are smoking something. Indiana is shaky and they won't be playing UT or Kansas until the Elite Eight or Final Four which are the rounds when it's supposed to be hard. Nobody else in the field is going to have the homecourt advantage that UNC has. The only other teams in the entire field that are assured of playing a game in their home state are UCLA and Davidson in the opening round. If you want tough, look at the other brackets. Duke, UConn and Xavier all have to go through UCLA in Phoenix. Georgetown and Clemson both have to go through Detroit. Memphis -- a 1 seed -- potentially has to go through Texas in Houston.

south alabama, the 10 seed, gets to play butler, the 7 seed, in BIRMINGHAM! That's a major home court advantage, especially considering SA is the lower seed in the matchup!

Stanford gets to play in Anaheim

Not home state, but the next two are really close:

Texas gets to play in Arkansas. Arkansas has tons of Texas fans and it will be an easy trip for texas fans

Kansas is really clcose to home in Omaha, as is Kansas St. I imagine Kansas fans will be rocking Omaha

OK, I missed those other two but my point about UNC still stands.

I wouldn't call getting to Little Rock from easy ... Arkansas highways make the PA Turnpike look like the Autobahn. But I get your point. And USA doesn't have enough fans to ever have a homecourt advantage.

But yes, Reliant Stadium will be a huge homecourt advantage for the Horns as will the Alamodome if they make it that far.

I don't get how anyone can say a team got hosed for a possible matchup down the road in the Final Four. That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard. And to whine that unc might have to play a few tough teams to get the the championship game? What? It's a tournament, you play to advance.
