Yeah, with all the focus on LU we need to get this started....

Predictions, and ofcourse discussion on college basketballs greatest rivalry.

Start off....One more question, K, if the game was over, why were you still calling time out with 50 seconds to go? If the game was over, why did you still have Hnderson on the floor. The answer is, because the game wasn't over, and thats why Roy Williams still had Hansbrough on the floor. Your program is down, your team isn't what it once was, and Carolina rolled you up again. You need to own that. And stop telling us that sort of thing doesnt happen with your program, when it just did and everyone saw it.

Lawson is back and DOOK has yet to beat a Lawson led team. I am going to say UNC gets revenge and wins 90-77.

UNC by 8.

But, the game is closer than that. Just a few free throws at the end to extend the margin.

Well, this definitely puts things into perspective. Thoughts & prayers to her family & the UNC student body...
Slain Woman Found Near UNC Is Student Body President Eve Carson

Chapel Hill, N.C. — Chapel Hill police have identified a woman found dead near the University of North Carolina campus Wednesday morning as the university's student body president.

Eve Carson, 22, a UNC senior and biology major, was found shot multiple times in the head about a half-mile from campus.

Agreed. An awful act--prayers to her family and the UNC student body.

Carolina 92 Duke 83.

No, I'm not being insensitive to the murder topic. I already posted about it in the Courtyard. Very sad indeed.

Def does put it in perspective. I think UNC has an emotional reason to win now as well, you know... besides the fact that they are playing duke.

anybody else think some moron dookie will hold up a sign saying something about her death?

UNC 76 DOOK 73
I think it will be a lower scoring game than most do.

As much as I can't stand Duke (I will spell it correctly for this one), I just wanted to go on record thanking them for sending over counselors to help out the overwhelmed counselors at UNC. Rivalry aside, that was a nice touch.

Sadly, there are morons everywhere and someone will probably make a dumb misguided comment. Always happens.

Go the Miami Hurricanes board and you will find a mockery of what happened......

Why Miami will always be the waste land

I think ESPN is making a mockery of what happened. If this game wasn't this weekend and ESPN doesn't try to milk this rivalry as much as possible, is this story headlining on SportsCenter? No. They're just trying to make it into an "angle" to view this game from. I think that's pretty lame.

Ahhhh the good old days. Seven teams. Top team gets the bye to the semis. Those were the days, my young friends.

I'm a little too young to remember 7 but I thought 9 was perfect. Playing each team home/away in conference play was a perfect format...
