half the stuff he said was all jumbled up. he kept leaving out words; running sentences together. i thought it was pretty funny.

a press conference directly after the game? i love firey coaches....now i can't understand why anyone would get even remotely excited about womens basketball but to each his own....it was funny but the people that are going bonkers over this as some sort of terrible thing are stupid..

i agree that it being a terrible thing is stupid... i just thought it was a hilarious. he made a fool out of himself. i bet he felt stupid watching himself act like that.

I think its great coaches still have that dedication and fire. Perhaps not too professional, but he definitely cares about the team and the program and in an era of program jumpers (Bobby Petrino anyone? louisivlle, atlanta, arkansas) dedication can't be overrated.

This guy aboslutely works his tail off on the recruiting trails. I don't really have much of a problem with anything he said, much less how he said it. He was fired up, and frustrated (I know, I know) after a must-win game for his team and program. I can't comment on the officiating words he spoke, becuase I didn't see the game. But he's absolutely passionate, completely honest, and I guarantee he gets the absolute best out of every one of his players. I respect that.

Plus, this quote from the ESPN article that BJ found is fantastic:

"It's not frustrating when you prepare your team because success is relative," Borseth said last year. "I really believe that; success is relative. Quality of life is everything to me. Would it be nice to hoist a Division I championship trophy over my head? Absolutely. At the price of my family? Absolutely not. I would never consider that; it's not worth it. The success we have here -- I'm glad we do -- is relative and we enjoy it. And to watch the kids develop is really important."

This whole thing smells like a motivational ploy to me. Borseth is basically calling his guys out right before the conference tourney.
