Why is this important? Because RU has been a D1 doormat in baseball for the past several years. New coach and a $$ commitment from the admin appears to be working wonders in a hurry. Oh, yeah...the importance? A competitive RU will only help the conference in terms of RPI, b/c as good as the league has been, the Highs have been an anchor dragging it down.

Now if UNCA will do the same...with a program that has NEVER EVER had an above .500 season.
