NFL combine

Anybody else a fan? This is one of the main reasons I wanted the NFL network. No other channel would put individual workouts on TV and survive. The NFL itself, though, is brilliant. Many years ago, they convinced us that watching 12 hours of each team picking players was good TV. And now, only weeks after the superbowl, they're pushing a combine on us. A bunch of non pros bench pressing and running sprints. I don't know if it will catch on, but I enjoy it.

I don't care for it, but a couple guys I work with said they intend to have their tv on the network all weekend.

At first it didn't do much for me since I have sat through so many pro timing days at colleges. But it is kind of fun to watch these "name" prospects get put on a level playing field even if their is no "playing" on the field.

Unfortunately we do not have anyone there. In fact, Jerome Simpson is the only player from the Big South.

A few Notes - Simpson ran a 4.6 40 and its is up to #14 overall on Espn Insider WR draft board..
He had the 2nd highest vertical jump of anyone in the combine and the highest broad jump by like 8 inches.

James Hardy has been particularly impressive--he's been shooting up draft boards. There are a lot of solid receiver prospects this year with some significant size. I've seen Hardy listed anywhere from 6'3 to 6'7.

When's the woman beating event? That should push him into the 1st round.

I was wondering if you were going to let that slide. It's edgy.
