OUCH: Talk about your BAD LOSSES!

The chant rose up from the Randolph College cheering section with less than a minute left in their team's home game with Lynchburg College on Wednesday night.

"They're all freshmen!" shouted the fans, a few of whom had painted their faces black and gold. "They're all freshmen!"

Actually, that's not quite true - one player on the 11-member Randolph roster is listed as a sophomore. But he didn't play on Wednesday, so the eventual 77-65 victory over the WildCats' brand-new crosstown rival was, indeed, a first-year feast.

LC couldn't beat our women' hockey team in a basketball game.

I watched one of their games this year, unfortunately. LC has talent (for D3 that is), but their head coach is beyond attrocious, I can't believe he's been there five year as bad as he is...

And Randolph is actually fairly competitive for a first year program. Most first year program wouldn't even compete with most teams.

Our old friend Shuk was telling me the same thing about the LC coach...
...maybe the job will open up.

fumble, you couldn't do any worse, they are what 1-50 this year?

The only reason why I went to the game in the first place is because I saw an article in the newspaper on one of their games where some LC player went off for 45 points and got a triple double or something like that. So I wanted to check out this guy. I later found out that he transferred to LC from Marshall U.

It is funny that you would mention his name, Fumbles. The second I saw this thread I thought of him.

The LC head coach is by far the worst college basketball coach in America. Heck, he might be the worst basketball coach at any level, including preschool! I think the LU cross country coach could do better with the talent Swickrath has. Sure he doesn't have a D3 championship or a conference championship squad, but he sure as heck has a squad with talent capable of finishing with a winning record, yet they are surely going to finish 3-22 again this year.

I won't go on a long rant about how bad his coaching abilities are, but he doesn't even know how to use timeouts. I've seen people playing video games and have never coached in their life demonstrate better usage of timeouts. If a team is going on a big run (like randolph went on a 16-2 run last night to start the game) he won't call a timeout. He'll just make his players fight through the BS game plan he created.

It's pretty bad when you have players quit the team and their main reason for quitting is because the head coach made them not want to play anymore. It's also pretty bad when on the year end evaluations - which the players are required to fill out - that virtually every single one of them writes that their most memorable moment of the year is that the season ended. And this man has been a head coach at LC for five YEARS?? That's beyond sad.
