From an SI story a couple of years ago regarding LCA Head Coach and Danny's Brother ...
Frank was two years ahead of Danny for the Nittany Lions and Danny transferred after his big brother's eligibility ran out. Frank never really got the chance to be the man at PSU when Todd Blackledge passed him up into the starting lineup. Frank & Danny had a who's who of teammates back in the day.
Joe Paterno told the South Florida media that he never really had a chance to recruit Dan Marino, the Pittsburgh native who went instead to Pitt and later became a local sports legend as the Dolphins' longtime quarterback. In 1978, the year before Marino graduated from Pittsburgh Central Catholic, Penn State had recruited another all-American quarterback, Frank Rocco.Click Here for Full Story
