Yeah, but for all intents and purposes, Charlotte isn't looking for a home -- they're looking for a rental apartment.

Kallander, who is so bad as a commissioner that if he was any worse, he'd be an executive in the NHL or the New York Knicks, is saying that he won't look favorably upon schools that are just using the Big South as a platform to a better conference.

I doubt that will happen. The separation when Campbell bailed on the league cost it the automatic bid in MBB...and was rather acrimonious.

Yet we expect (at least some do) the Southern Conf to "forgive" and let us in if/when we apply. Why not take Charlotte? We took Texas A and M Corpus Christi and B. Southern. Why not an ACTUAL established D1 school? If nothing else it will give us some exposure. (And I don't mean just the kind SCAR gives in dark alley's!!!)

Don't know why Birmingham-Southern was let in, but A&M-CC was just for softball so we could have an auto-bid for that sport.

Plus, I'd hope LU would try to go to the CAA (even though they're happy with their 12 current members) before SoCon.

That being said, we need to realize that not every conference wants to be associated with a controversial school that boasts a mediocre sports program. The CAA hates us. We would've moved to the SoCon by now if they wanted us. The A-Sun is a step down. Same thing with the Mid-Eastern Conference.

What we need to do is improve our conference by getting better, hanging on to the good teams that we have. And when an opportunity comes up to get a good program like Charlotte, DON'T SAY YOU'RE NOT INTERESTED, KALLANDER! What an idiot!

My thing is isnt Gardner-Webb supposed to be joining the BSC in all sports in 2009 or something? I think I heard that kicked around a few years ago
