From the local fishwrap:

The bad news is that he's instead looking at Clemson and Georgia, but no mention of LU.

Hmm, interesting development. The one thing I also found interesting in there is the talk of going to Hargrave Military Academy possibly. I find that interesting for the reason that having been at LCA, Im sure he is very aware of the rivalry between the two schools (of course the PG football program at HMA really turns out the D1 players to both 1-AA/FCS and 1-A/FBS). I do hope he finishes his last year at LCA strong though

Nothing earth shattering here... He would go to Hargrave to get qualified and then bounce... Players do it all the time and the rivalry has nothing to do with it. Don't be surprised if he doesn't end up at LU.

agreed GMTM. he would play for hargrave's postgrad so there is no rivalry. hopefully bobby will take advantage of the opportunity at whatever postgrad program he chooses to get himself better academically.

bit of a double negative, there.

Gotcha. Hargrave has one of the top PG programs in the country. I know a very high percentage of the players the ones that did not get offers out of high school get signed to D1 schools (both 1-A/FBS and 1-AA/FCS). I know one of the RBs for LSU came from there.

I am sure he is a great kid, but he would be a better kid if he would have signed with LU.

I wonder how long do you have to be at a school before you can transfer?

Ole Miss is the closest thing the SEC has to a Christian school.

I wish he would have chosen to play at LU, but Coach Nutt has the Rebels going in the right direction. It will be a good place to play.

This all went down at the last minute... He was pretty set on Alabama.. He visted at the end of Jan and also at UNC but Coach Nutt came in and grabbed him..

Yeah anytime you have Saban coming up to Lynchburg you know they are both serious about each other...wasted jet fuel for Saban I guess, good thing the school gives him something like 50 flying hours on their corporate jet a month

Massie probably wants to go to Ole Miss to study Faulkner and begin a steady diet of deep fried CATFISH.

I'm not a VT fan , so it doesn't bother me. I do wish he would magically come to LU.

I wouldn't be surprised if his path took another turn somewhere down the road. But I wish him nothing but the best.
