NCAA weighs in on I-A playoffs

The Division I board has recommended a study of the eight-team playoff proposed by the president of UGA.

In other news, Canadian colleges are now allowed to join NCAA Division II.

This Canadian rule opens all types of doors. This will be a boon to some Canuck colleges and I'd actually like to see some schools like Monterrey Tech allowed in as well from South of the border.

I think the NCAA is going to wait a while before letting Mexican schools in...travel/entry restrictions for Mexican citizens are a bit greater than for Canadians.

Besides, the Mexican teams would never leave after the game. They'd just get jobs cleaning the stadium.

Entry requirements for entry and return to Mexico would not be an issue.

And the flight risk for Mexican college kids is practically nothing.

But I'm glad to provide some fodder for everyone's lame attempts at humor.
