Hey did anyone on here go to the And 1 show down at the city armory?
Little Dunton played in it.....I heard it was quite a show.....
For those of you who dont know what And 1 basketball is, it's the style of basketball that has ruined our youth and all they try to do is make the opposition look bad
Here's one thing with lil D that I heard happened....loose ball and White Chocolate and Matt D are going after it....WC pushes MD down and then gets the ball and bounces it off his forehead & the place went nuts....he gets back to the bench and said, "I prayed on the floor that, that wouldnt make the news.....no I REALLY prayed out there that it wouldnt make the news!"
I gotta ask him about that....Scar you need to ride him a little bit when you see him....but what a great opportunity to play against those guys, that would be tight

These gusy are basically the 21st century version of the Globetrotters. Getting them at LU would be a nice revenue stream that is for sure. It would be a great way to open up the university to the community especially a segment of the population that would be great for a school with LU's mission to reach. Sure it is not a "religious" group, but get some of the community on campus and have FCA et al there and bombard them with the gospel. I wonder if anyone ever proposed that before

I think their form of that are the dunk teams....I'm not quite sure if there are enough "Street Ballers" to make a ministry team, although you may have been talking about bringing in the And 1 guys.....which, I'm not quite sure how that would work out since they'll let all lang. fly, not to mention the music and players.....but the concept is good
I think the best thing we could do is bring in the high school blue chip athletes like we did SEVERAL years ago.....remember when Odem, McGrady & many more came to the vines! That was great, although I think the promoter lost a lot of money on that.....but that would be great to see again

No I actually did mean the and 1 guys. There can be riders in the contract as for some of the music and PA language so it could work. It would just be nice to get some different segments of the community involved up on campus and if you have to use a "secular" event to do it so be it.
I DO remeber when we had TWO big "All - Star" weekends. That was GREAT. It is funny now to remeber the names back then and you can now say "I remember when....." Not sure why we don't do that anymore
