It's been reported on the local sports radio stations, that he's accepted it.

That would be a terrible turn of events for the Spiders if he does slide over to Knoxville.

i would hate it, but going back to coach your alma mater is indeed an honor and at least he would not have to be micro-managed by al groh.

It's no doubt UVA has had some great assistants under Groh.

If London does indeed wind up there, maybe he and Rocco will be able to work out a deal b/w LU and UR.

Coach Clawson seemed to be a nice guy when I met him with my bro on a recruiting visit (then again, ALL coaches seem nice when they are recruiting, lol).. Anyway, In the end, he's got to do what's best for his career and his family. Moving to the SEC from the CAA is a good move for his career, and, of course, money talks.

If London gets the job, hopefully LU can get UR on the schedule in the next year or two. As far as coaching gigs, as long as no one comes for ROCCO, it's all good

London was on the air this morning on my way in to work previewing the UR season and their first game with Elon. All I got from it, Rocco is by far the more eloquent speaker of the two Al Groh protégé’s.

That would be cool if we could pick up a series with UR. Years ago their AD led a semi-orchestrated boycot of everything related to LU athetics due to JF. Things may have changed at UR though.
