Last time i checked it wasn't up to the player Knuckle.....MLB makes that decision.

well unless mlb hall of fame reps have lied in the past, the people in charge at the hall of fame decide what hat a player will wear on their plaque...

I don't think that's the case for baseball, however...

I am pretty sure that's how it is in the NFL. That's why Jerry Rice signed with the Niners before he officially retired.

HE says he like playing for the Yankees. He doesn't say he picked them. He would have picked them, (that's what it sounds like) but he probably didn't have choice. I think mlb picks the team. Boggs wanted to go in as a Devil Ray, but the Hall wouldn't let him.

For a number of years now, Hall officials have chosen the cap an inductee will wear on his plaque. Last month, when Dick Williams was elected to the Hall by a Veterans Committee reviewing managers and umpires, it was determined that Williams would go in representing the Oakland A's.
