The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have returned a kickoff for a touchdown today at Raymond James against the Falcons.

This is the first time the team has accomplished that feat in our existence, which began in 1976.

That was an amazing "streak" when you consider that a kickoff return for a TD is really not all that rare a thing. The Saints came into the league about the same time as the Bucs, and they had a TD return on the opening kickoff of their inaugural game.

Yeah, we were the only team without one, including the Texans, Panthers, Jags, and new Browns. Most teams average at least one per year. We just never got one.

To me, that streak was more amazing than the METS never having a pitcher throw a no-hitter.

I can't believe the no hitter streak by the Mets. I mean, they had Nolan Ryan at one point! What other odd streaks are out there waiting to be broken?

EDIT: As for the Bucs, I don't generally like them because I'm an Eagles fan, but I enjoy watching them this year. Here's wishing them good luck in the playoffs, unless the Eagles somehow manage to sneak in.
