How much would you give to see Roger Clemens' name on that list?

I love his approach to the game...but if his name is NOT on there...something funny is going on. I would not be shocked to see Schilling and maybe some others on there, as well. Would not be surprised to see: Brian Roberts, Marcus Giles, Tejada, Brett Boone, Jeff Bagwell (as much as it pains me)...and many others. It would also not surprise me to have it white-washed some in that Mitchell has strong MLB ties.

White Wash or not, 60-80 names and some of them are big. That much has already been said.

I new something screwy was going on beginning in the early to mid-90's. Brady Anderson and Luis Gonzales hitting 50 plus home runs...be serious.

Ehhh, 80 players isn't that significant, if you consider that 64 of them have already been fingered or implicated.

If Chipper Jones or Jeff Francoeur is on this list.... this will be the worst day of my life.

I'm not sure how much faith should be placed in this report, if any. Howard Bryant over at ESPN brings up a lot of good points about how the players' union was never involved in this process and Mitchell's possible conflicts of interest that could, at the very least, taint the final report.

Those were my thoughts exactly. The others don't surprise me.

I look at this list and I think two words: bargaining chip. This looks like nothing more than the owners putting ammo in their guns for the next round of labor talks and I'll tell you why.

At any given time during the season there are something like 750 active players in the major leagues. You factor in call-ups and injuries and you're probably pushing an even 1,000 players over the course of the season, the vast majority of which generally are nobodies to the general public. However, the 60+ names on this list aren't nobodies. I am the farthest thing from a baseball fan but, with the exception of Hensley and Hairston, I've heard of all of these guys. This indicates one of two things to me: either taking steroids automatically makes you a baseball star or that the steroid "investigation" targetted baseballs' stars and if that's the case, you have to wonder why they did that.

Brady Anderson? WHAT!?!?!

That's the thing. Apparently, no player or manager was ever questioned. This report is based entirely on the testimony of people like trainers and clubhouse attendants, some of whom later said that they were coerced into "guessing".

Seriously, this list would be the same if you took out players from those teams. And the Rangers.

Lenny Dykstra...who wudda thunk

one of the grossest interviews I ever saw was of Lenny Dykstra popping zits off his arm while talking about the game to reporters. Back then I couldn't figure out who has that many zits on their arms and shoulders!

I read this on another board and just wanted to throw it out there to see what people thought because I know we have a few fans on this board.

There are numerous Yankees named on the list.

There are numerous former Red Sox players that are very disliked in Boston named on the list.

There is only one current Red Sox player named on the list.

George Mitchell is on the board for the Red Sox.

I'm counting at least 10 Orioles. Does any single team have more than that?
