Anyone else able to access the Winthrop (www.winthropfans.com) board this morning? I just tried going there and got a message that their account was suspended????

They may have gone over their bandwidth limits for the month. Usually you get a message like that from your hosting provider if you're over and haven't paid for more.

Yeah, I have no clue why it isn't working, and the guy who hosts the site has gone completely off-grid...he's not returning any of my messages. Hopefully I'll find out something from him soon...he's usually slow to respond, but not this slow.

love EF and Horrez but parallels must be the worst host one can possibly sign up with. the amount of work eaglefan and horrez put into getting information together and monitoring WF.com i'm sure it drives them crazy and they are working overtime trying to get it up again. until then i'll get my news from FF.com

I found out yesterday that the hosting company I use has pretty much closed up shop without letting any of its customers know (I've heard from a couple of other clients of the same host...and nobody can seem to 'find' the guy that runs it). So I'm working to wrangle control of my domain and finding a new place to host. Hopefully that means the site will be back up in the near future, but it looks like I stuck with this particular host way longer than I should have.

I think when we were going through that same scenario of trying to gain control of the domain, scorcho used a different domain until we got back the real one. Like flamefans.net or something.

Have you found a new host yet, WEF? If so, they usually can assist you in getting your domain moved over.

If they're holding your domain hostage (or if they've just disappeared) I do recommend asking a new host for help with it. We were stuck for a while and used flamefans.net or .info. I can't remember which. Whatever was cheap at the time.

I cannot say enough good things about LiquidWeb hosting. They've been really good to us and their support can't be beat. "Heroic support" is what they claim. Worth whatever price they're asking these days, in my opinion.

It's back up...new host, and I decided to completely relaunch the site (so if you were on before, you need to re-register.).

I still have to make it look better, but after almost 2 weeks down, I just wanted to get it up and running.
