haha...why would I?? Like I said in the other thread

I am kidding...he seems like a good guy....as much as it pains me to admit that a Gator could actually be a good guy....
He is a great guy and I love missionaries...my wife's parents are missionaries in Indonesia and I have much respect for them.
I joke around a lot and give everybody a hard time, its just the way I am...but this guy is a great guy. So I hope you were kidding....

GO GATORS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just had to put that in there for all you Gator haters.
Seriously, just want to add confirmation of his testimony. Our youth pastor has known their family for years, even
was Tim's SS teacher when he was in middle school, and he has always spoken so highly of their family and the sincerity of Tim's faith and his families faith. It is great to see him do so well.
I haven't seen all the videos from ESPN, but it seems from what I have seen that they gave a favorable interview even commending his family heritage and faith.
On a side note, earlier this season, the Florida Baptist newspaper ran a major article on Tebow and Drew Weatherford, quarterback at Florida State who is also a commited Christian, attending and serving in a new church start in Tallahassee. It was a good story about two prominent figures in Florida college athletics.

Weatherford is not as gifted as Tebow, tho. God has not planned football into Drew's future.

hahahahaha, Weatherford and Lee have the talent, they just don't have the O-Line that the previous FSU backs had. FSU somehow under utilizies these incredible athletes (see Lorenzo Booker)

Bobby Bowden made the mistake of hiring his son Jeff as OC. Been down hill since that hire. Maybe next year the offense will be better under Fisher, of course have a decent OL would help

Yeah, I've followed Tebow ever since we did a quick story on him when he announced that, as a homeschooler, he was going to head to Florida. I knew he was a Christian, but the abortion revelation... All I can say is, "close call".

Yeah, he actually mentioned the abortion thing on ESPN. I heard it once and haven't heard it since. Not sure if I just missed it or the "cut" it out of the interview.

Definitely a great story. I'm proud of Tebow and his family. Great stand he made.

I know some of you will think I'm nuts, but the Karcher staff was in on Tim when he was an underclassmen. When his stock rose into the stratosphere his junior season we essentially had no chance. But his family indicated we were still on his radar into his senior season. Its too bad we didn't the program where we are now back when he made his decision or we might have had a 1 in a 1000 chance. I'm serious.

I know you're serious Sly...I have talked to several people who said the same thing...one even said he made an unofficial visit (though I am not sure if that was true)....

Besides the discrepency in the level of the programs (especially back then) the other thing which made it highly unlikely is the fact that Tim and his entire family had been long time FANATICAL Gator fans. His bedroom was decorated in Gator orange and blue.
