Yes, he sure did - he was trying to squeeze it off inside his shorts, but had to run over to the sideline to let it go - they threw several towels at him to try to sop it up. The funniest part was the poor student assistant who had to put on rubber gloves to pick up the urine-soaked towels. Now that is something I've never seen before . . .

All the students in my section were busting up laughing. He was smiling the entire time and all the coaches were trying to hide their face. The entire bench was laughing. On TV if you look we was doing the jumping up and down pee dance. He even had to wipe his legs with a towel. No one would touch the towels. When you gotta go you gotta go.

that's really disgusting, just run back to the locker room. I don't know though, that's really not what looked like was happening in that video.

I forwarded the video to the LU MBB Athletic Trainer and my student who works with them...
...wondering how this would figure into the Athletic Training Education clinical experience as well as the Blood Borne Pathogen Policy.

urine is actually sterile and is not a legitimate bio-hazard.

the exception is if/when the subject has Hep/HIV, then universal precautions are indicated.

I had the pleasure of getting a faceful of urine from a HepC (+) pt but was advised there wasn't a notable risk and to chill out.

(Note to self: in future, ensure foley bag does not get caught in retractable legs of litter- will explode when mechanism closes)
