This is good stuff, this site may be common knowledge to a lot of people, but I've never seen it before. It basically rips on sports announcers for being stupid. Good entertainment, and another weekly read to add to your list.

Also, AOL sports is teaming with the site to do the espn-esque voting tournament for the worst announcers.

Yeah...every now and then Deadspin.com will pick something up from there...if you havent checked Deadspin.com check it out...it pretty much rips ESPN for all the things they dont want the public to know, sex scandals with the ESPN employees etc.

Just kidding, Knuckle. I'm a big fan of DC, even if he's a Hokie.

Interesting blog. I would not want to check out that video from the Vanier Cup unless you have a very strong stomach...no leg should be able to do that

Thanks for posting this! I love making fun of announcers. Personally, I feel kind of bad about Tony Kornheiser. Even he knows he's no football analyst. What is good at, is his radio show. Come back Tony!!!
Kornheiser's not even that into football. When he took the job he even said, it wasn't that he wanted it, it was just something he couldn't turn down. Maybe he should have.
Did you guys vote for the best announcers? What joke? how could you put Madden and Barkely on that list. And why weren't people voting for Erin Andrews. No one listens to what she says anyway.
Best announcer bar none is Vin Scully, the Dodgers play-by-play man.

ooooo....those are two very good ones. As much as I love Scully, I have to go with Kalas....its great listening to that great voice on XM during baseball season.

I love Scully but Kalas is classic. He is also the voice of NFL films. That used to be John Facenda but he died in the 80's. Facenda and Kalas and NFL films Steve Sabol are all Philly guys. If you watch Inside the NFL on HBO you have heard Kalas. He also does the voice overs for the Campbell Soup commercials.
